The history of the House is primarily that of its creator, Carine Gilson.
1990 – Fondation of Maison Carine Gilson Couture Lingerie
At 23 years old, a graduate of Fine Arts and of the prestigious Antwerp Academy, she bought a small lingerie workshop. Her creative desires were already working towards exceptional hand-made pieces in the style of haute couture. Carine Gilson falls in love with the authentic atmosphere of a small factory from the turn of the century, which becomes the setting of an artist in a frenzy of creation. She revisits a traditional know-how to give birth to her own brand of lingerie couture.
2004 – Opening of the Paris boutique
Already distributed in the finest boutiques around the world, Carine Gilson chose the capital of fashion and luxury to open its first store. His best creations are presented in her boudoir boutique in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
2010 – The Brussels boutique
To celebrate the 20 years of the brand, the designer opened in March 2010 a second store. She settled this time in the city where her passion for Art Deco was born, her hometown, Brussels.
2010 – Show in New York
In the city that never sleeps, a bold show that highlights the sensuality and grace of the creations of the House and which follows the charity fashion show in Miami the year before for the prestigious philanthropic organization “Seven Bar Foundation.”
2012 – The London boutique
After Paris and Brussels, London was an obvious. The British capital, a subtle blend of tradition, modernity and openness to the world, is in harmony with the brand values that combines traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creativity.
2015 – Opening of the Taipei boutique
Gateway to Asia, the new Carine Gilson Lingerie Couture store in Taipei offers a universe with a bright atmosphere, where the elegant pieces of the House take on their full dimension.
2015 – Show in Brussels
To celebrate its 25 years, the House presents in Brussels all the iconic pieces from its collections in an unforgettable Garden of Eden made by Thierry Boutemy.
2015 – 25th anniversary campaign
Underlining this symbolic passage to a new page in its history, a Jubilee campaign was organised by the designer. This iconic collection plays with the codes of the House : birds of paradise, precious colours and lace inlays. Photographed in a refined and poetic spirit, the true emotion of this celebration of femininity and luxury is showcased.
